About Holi :- The Festivals of Colours

Holi a spring festival of colours & love. Holi is celebrated with joy and pride on the very full moon day in the month of Phalgun. Normally its a festivals of hindu religion but nowadays it has become popular in non hindu communities as well in many parts of south asian countries. Unlike Nepal, India and Bangladesh it becomes popular in other countries like American and European. Holi is an unique festivalswhich is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety with different colours and water. 

The different colours used in these festivals also represent the different aspects of human life. For Examples:

Festivals Preparation:
On approaching the full moon day of Phagun month in Gregorian Calender, the entire country in South Asian region are ready with a festival looks in their uniform specially white color dresses are so popular, city's and markets are full with colours specially "Abeer" & Pichkaris 'Water Pumping Toy's for Kids'.

Traditionally, Holi, starts with "Holika Bonfire" on the eve of the festivals, Prahlad son of Hiranyakashyap (Ancient King) becomes a devotee of Lord Bishnu, Later Hiranyakashyap wanted his son to be killed with the help of his sister Holika. He asked Holika to enter a fire with Pralhad with her but the extreme devation of Lord Bishnu made him immune to fire and Lord Bishnu saved his life but Holika died. Onward, people start celebrating this festivals with joy. Also a truthful victory of truth.

And The Carnival:
Festivals is free for all colours and water. People chase others to put colours and water each others. Water Balloons are common these days.

Transformation of Love:
Lover boy Lord Krishna is another strong aspect of Holi Festivals. During his times in Mathura, he used to play colours with so called 1600 Gopinis. His behaviour is called naughty and mischievous acts of Lord Krishna. He used to applied colours to his beloved "Radha" to mke her looks like him. Dont forgot to apply colours on your beloved as we are certified by Lord Krishna.

Overdose of Bhaag:
The intoxicating bhang is another major event aspect of Holi after Great Shivaratri, on the very day people enjoy bhang to enhance love of festivals. But bhang excess and spoil the spirit.
